Custom Furniture Design Orders

In addition to frame information, the following information on your customer-owned material fabric is necessary for all orders:

• Name of the supplier who is sending fabrics, trim, etc.
• Pattern and color
• Exact yardage sent
• Description of pattern
• Specific upholstering instruction, including but not limited to placement of specific fabrics motifs and trim, outer face side of the fabric, railroading, or regular side-by-side cutting. 

If multiple fabrics or trims are used, please submit a diagram showing where each decorative item should be placed. If no information is given, S & K Custom Furniture will use its best judgment in determining the application.

Fifty percent (50%) of your total purchase order is due upon placing your order. The remaining balance is due before shipping.

• Merchandise return procedure: No merchandise may be returned without written authorization from our office. Factory error or defect must be notified within thirty days of shipping.
• Cancellation: No cancellations or changes can be accepted after the order has gone into production.
• Dimensions: We manufacture bench-made furniture, and with any handmade item, the sizes may vary slightly due to the handwork that goes into each piece. If you need exact measurements, please get in touch with our office.
• Transportation Claims: Before accepting freight carrier merchandise, carefully examine your shipment. If there is any visible damage to the containers, insist that the delivery person notes this on the bill-of-landing before signing for the delivery. Damage claims or shortages of items need to be filled by you with the carrier within five business days. If you should find any concealed damage, you are protected.

Fringe, cord, band, bullion, or multiple fabrics are available on all pieces. Please contact customer service for yardage requirements and a price list of options for up-charges.

Customer-Owned Leather: 10% upcharge

We are set up to accommodate special requests for contract applications, such as a change of eight-way hand-tied springs to drop-in coils or webbing construction for foundation support. We can also change cushion fillings from a down blend to poly. Please get in touch with the office with special requests and pricing.

Many of our pieces come standard with goose down and feather construction. We can substitute for nonallergic material if you are allergic to down products. Please get in touch with our office for options and pricing before orders are placed.

S & K Custom Furniture guarantees the quality of the frame, springs, and workmanship for the original fabric's life. We warranty our cushion cores for two years. If anything goes wrong, return the item to us, and we will replace or repair it at no cost (excluding freight charges).

S & K Custom Furniture is not responsible for fabric defects or flaws. S & K Custom Furniture is not responsible for the finished result of certain fabrics, such as, but not limited to: velvets, silks, and stretchy or loosely woven fabrics.
